Contingent workforce solutions for Frankston City Council

We are delighted to welcome on board Frankston City Council, the latest customer to join the Comensura family as we go live today with our adaptive vendor neutral managed service.

Situated on the eastern shores of Port Phillip Bay, approximately 40kms south of Melbourne, Frankston City encompasses 11kms of pristine coastline, covers an area of 131sqkm and is home to over 135,00 residents.

Frankston will be the 20th council to engage with Comensura through the Recruitment Neutral Vendor Managed Services Contract (RS8017-2015NV) offered by the MAV (Municipal Association of Victoria). This contract, awarded following a competitive tender in 2015, has been hugely successful in delivering fabulous outcomes for MAV members across Victoria; from Horsham and Southern Grampians in the west, to Casey and Cardinia in the east.

Frankston City Council is currently midway through a strategic plan that sees it desire to become the Lifestyle Capital of Victoria. Its plans include revitalization & investment in the city centre, attraction of businesses and jobs, acting as a catalyst for the development of government and commercial offices and the protection of the natural environment.  All these strategic initiatives support Council’s overarching goal of ensuring a prosperous future for residents.

Comensura’s market leading vendor management program will support that vision by migrating council’s entire temporary staffing portfolio to our managed service model.  In tandem with council, Comensura has been working with Frankston’s key internal stakeholders to deliver this week’s launch. This project has been a true partnership between the Council, its supply chain and Comensura, who is now in its 11th year of delivering flexible workforce solutions to state and local government in Australia.

Comensura is the leading provider of vendor neutral managed services to local government in Australia; we manage the supply of contingent labour to over 40 local government organisations across four states. As well as that, we deliver service at state government level through the New South Wales Procurement 0007/0008 Framework.

Underpinning the unrivalled supply chain management expertise and service Comensura will provide is our market leading c.net technology. Our c.net platform captures all transactional processes, from placing an order through to electronic time-sheeting and electronic consolidated invoicing; in other words, it will become the source of truth for all temporary staffing transactions at Frankston. This oversight will ensure improved governance and compliance for all non-permanent recruitment.

Mark Coyle, Impellam APAC CEO said “We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Frankston City Council to the Comensura family. This is a significant account for us as it helps underpin our wide reach in Victoria. As an influential council, working with Frankston will help strengthen our position as the leading provider of Neutral Vendor Managed Services to local government across Australia. This is also a landmark signing for our relationship with the MAV as they are our 20th council to adopt our service through Contract RS8017-2015NV. This is a true milestone for us in this very important partnership with the MAV.  We are delighted to be working with such a key council and look forward to achieving positive outcomes and creating good news stories for their rate payers in the months and years ahead.”
