We are delighted to welcome onboard Inner West Council, the latest customer to join the Comensura family as we go live today with our classic vendor neutral managed service.
Inner West Council is a local government organisation in Sydney, New South Wales, servicing around 26 suburbs near the city centre. The Inner West is a community of over 190,000 people and covers an area of 36 sqkm. The area includes some of Sydney's most creative, vibrant and diverse suburbs.
Inner West Council supports the community by providing aquatic centres, libraries, local roads, street lighting, parks, sports fields, community centres, street festivals, childcare facilities and more. Comensura will be managing all categories of temporary staffing and working with the Council exclusively through a framework contract provided by Procurement Australia.
Comensura is the leading provider of vendor neutral managed services to local government in Australia; we manage the supply of contingent labour to over 40 local government organisations across four states. As well as that, we deliver service at state government level through the New South Wales Procurement 0007 Framework.
Inner West has been working closely with Comensura since signing on to the framework contract provided by Procurement Australia (1912-0627), which Comensura successfully tendered for with Procurement Australia in 2017.
The Council is migrating its temporary staffing portfolio to our managed service model and in tandem with Comensura, have been working tirelessly for several months to deliver today’s launch. This project has been a true collaboration between The Council, its supply chain and Comensura, who is now on its 11th year of delivering flexible workforce solutions to state and local government in Australia.
Underpinning the service Comensura will provide, is our market leading c.net technology. Our c.net platform captures all transactional processes, from placing an order through to electronic time-sheeting and electronic consolidated invoicing. Providing unprecedented access and visibility of activity of this complex procurement category, c.net will be a welcome addition to the Council’s Smart City operations as they continue to navigate their way through the challenges of amalgamation.
Comensura’s unique neutrality and independence allows us to objectively put together the right network of recruitment suppliers for Inner West Council, delivering an unparalleled and unbiased approach to supply chain management.
Inner West will benefit from improved governance, enhanced compliance of both spend and temporary workforce, real-time access to reporting, back office efficiency, savings driven by smarter rate management and aggregated purchasing, as well as a technology solution to ensure recruitment is carried out fairly and equitably throughout the organisation.
