Cumberland Council

Comensura's Managed Service contract, including its c.net technology platform, provides end-to-end visibility and centralised control of temporary recruitment spend.

The Customer

Cumberland Council supports local residents, builds community and celebrates the local area. Its services include childcare, aged care & disability, libraries and swimming pools as well as running learn to swim programs. The most common temporary job categories the council utilizes for temporary hires are Industrial (blue collar workers), IT, accounting, library services and administration.

The Challenge

Prior to working with Comensura, to fulfil its temporary workforce requirements, this customer would engage recruitment agencies directly. The process was inefficient and timely and the council was having difficulties tracking spend.

The Solution

Comensura’s Neutral Vendor Managed Service model enables Cumberland Council to effectively source high quality candidates at competitive rates, from a pool of contracted and compliant recruitment agencies. All transactions are recorded in our proprietary technology, c.net.

The Benefits

The customer has now access to high quality temporary workers, even for specific projects and roles where there is a market shortage. Comensura negotiates competitive rates on behalf of Cumberland Council, drastically reducing their total spend on temporary labour. The Council has access to a dedicated Relationship Manager and a Customer Service Centre available 24/7 all year round.
