Comensura’s 100% compliance sets the standard for the 2024 Child and Family Social Work Statutory Guidance

Comensura’s 100% compliance sets the standard for the 2024 Child and Family Social Work Statutory Guidance

The introduction of the 2024 Child and Family Social Work Statutory Guidance marks a transformative moment for local authorities across the UK.

With new rules, tight deadlines, and limited resources, many councils are still working to navigate the changes. However, at Comensura we are pleased to lead the charge in preparedness and success, working with local authorities across the UK to achieve 100% compliance ahead of the next phase of implementation due in October 2025.

Comensura’s expert team has supported the compliant onboarding of 1,511 Children and Families Social Workers in Q1 2025 alone, resulting in glowing testimonials from clients like Staffordshire County Council and Stoke on Trent City Council, who credit Comensura with minimising disruption and fostering genuine partnership.

At the heart of this success are the seven key pillars of the new statutory guidance:

  • Detailed data collection

  • Enforcement of price caps

  • Project team compliance

  • The introduction of a mandatory four-week notice period

  • A three-year experience requirement for agency workers

  • Rigorous enhanced reference checks

  • Cooling-off periods to ensure workforce stability

Comensura’s proactive approach ensures that every client is fully aligned with these new requirements, paving the way for greater consistency, cost control, and improved outcomes for children and families.

With the October 2025 deadline fast approaching, Comensura looks forward to working with both existing and new public sector clients to create a more stable, effective, and compassionate social work landscape for the future.

Getting ready for 2024 Child and Family Social Work Guidance stage 2
