Comensura hits West London’s biggest jobs fair in Wembley Stadium

Comensura was pleased to attend West London’s biggest job fair, held at the famous Wembley Stadium, which opened its doors to over 200 employers, training providers, universities, and colleges.

Hosted by Brent Council, the job fair enables job seekers to meet with employers across a range of sectors, giving them access to a variety of different career options as well as resources to navigate the job market.

Councillor Shama Tatler shared why the job fair is so important to the local community, stating, “In Brent, we have one of the lowest average household incomes in the capital, with earnings 16% below the London average. The cost-of-living crisis is continuing to hit our low-paid workers the hardest, and we are committed to supporting our residents in every way we can to find good quality, secure work.”

The job fair was attended by Georgina Clark (Brent Council Business Partner) Darryl Miller (Implementation Project Manager), Sophie Williams (Comensura Business Partner) and Lee Hoare (Comensura Business Partner) where they met with a range of different job seekers, registering over 196 new candidates on the day

“This was a great opportunity to meet motivated candidates face to face, in an exciting location, to really get to understand what kind of positions they’re looking for and support them on their recruitment journey,” states Georgina Clark, Brent Council Business Partner at Comensura.

“We were able to register interest of 196 candidates which we followed up with after the initial event and offered further support by partnering them with suppliers that operate in their preferred industries.”
