Impellam signs Armed Forces Covenant

The Impellam Group is proud to have recently signed the UK Armed Forces Covenant, a commitment from the group to support and treat members of the Armed Forces Community with fairness and respect. Our CEO Global Managed Services, Simon Blockley said of this signing: ‘At a brand level, Carbon60, Lorien, Comensura and Guidant Global are already signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant. By elevating this support to the Group level, we will be able to have a bigger impact on the Military community through a louder unified Impellam voice. Not only ensuring Impellam supports and treats the Armed Forces Community with fairness and respect but by influencing our extensive client base to do the same’.

This signing was organised by IM Military, Impellam’s employee-led Business Resource Group for veterans dedicated towards providing greater opportunities for those who served in defence sector.

What is the Armed Force Covenant?

The Armed Force Covenant is essentially a promise from society ensuring that all current/former members of armed forces as well as their families (known as armed forces community) are treated fairly without judgement or bias regardless their circumstances or beliefs allowing them to reach their full potential in life.

Currently there are over 9600 signatories representing many different sectors including major corporations, charities and SMEs each expressing their commitment in creating an inclusive culture built on trust – one which embraces diversity both inside and outside any workplace environment.
